Phil received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1983 from the California State University at Long Beach. He obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1988 from Southwestern University School of Law, and was admitted to the Bar the same year.
Phil currently specializes in estate planning, probate, and trust administration, and has extensive litigation experience in insurance defense litigation.
Phil counsels clients regarding the preparation and use of trusts, wills, health care directives, and powers of attorney for estate planning for single persons and married couples. In addition, Phil counsels trustees, executors, and agents (acting under health care directives and powers of attorney), after the death or incapacity of other persons.
Phil’s litigation experience involved hundreds of insurance defense matters with an emphasis on product liability and construction defect litigation, in addition to insurance bad faith and SIU cases.
Phil has been actively involved in the community. He has served as Director on a number of non-profit boards, as a Director and Chairman on the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce, and as a elected Director on the board of the Bear Valley Community Services District.
